Seeing with Sound
Client: Richmond Primary School Sheerness and Canterbery Christ Church University.
As part of Canterbery Christ Church University’s cultural education partnerships program, funded by Arts Council England. Practitioner Matt Rowe delivered a series of making and doing activities centred around the them of soundscapes.
Year 4 students at Richmond Primary School in Sheerness explored a selection of new materials. During the workshops the participants investigated how sounds can be transformed in to pictures and pictures in to sounds. Students leaned how construct a series of paper horns sculptures and collaborative drawings.the students art works were then translated in to soundscapes.
