Ruff Plate selfies was fun and lively a drop in family session, delivered over 2 days. The project engaged visitors with themes from the changing face of self-portraiture exhibition at Turner Contemporary.
Taking inspiration from Vandykes self-portrait, participants were asked to develop their very own self 17th-century inspired self portrait. Using paper plates visitors created their very own self portrait mask, ready for a portrait image to be taken using specialist photography equipment.
The visitor experiance included a family making and doing activities and there self portrait beeing exhibeted in an online photography gallery.
